Student: The MISD Band Program changed me for the better. It gave me a space to be myself!

The MISD Band Program changed me for the better. It gave me a space to be myself! I met some of my closest friends through this program. I was able to take on leadership roles and learn valuable life lessons. I always felt like I had a place and it is important that everyone coming into the Mercer Island School District gets this same opportunity! The band has a big role in the community and I hope we can continue with this.
