What we do
Scholarships
Making sure every student can participate in the stellar music education opportunities this program provides.
For our 2025-26 London trip, MISBB provided over $89,000 in scholarships for students.
Instrument Clubs
Islander Middle School (IMS) Instrument clubs are an opportunity for our middle schoolers to hone their skills in a fun and band community environment.
Better Sooner
Providing private lessons for our 6th grade students so they will feel sucessful and confident on their instrument and play Better Sooner!
Instruments
Band Boosters provide instrument repair and the opportunity to purchase new instruments.
Uniforms
We periodically invest in new marching uniforms with booster support. These uniforms require regular cleaning and maintenance to ensure their longevity.
Artist-in-Residences
professional musicians, composers, and conductors working with our students.
Administrative Support
This helps maximize the time our directors spend working directly with students.
Professional Development
Band Directors continue to learn and bring back to the classroom the latest teaching methods, sources of enrichment, and resources for our students.
The Mercer Island Schools Band Boosters
is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.
MISBB was formed in 2011 to actively support, promote,
and encourage the 5th - 12th grade band programs of the
Mercer Island School District.
