Student: The MI band program is transformational in so many students' lives because of the staffing.

Like many Mercer Island band alums, my time in the program was so impactful on my life that I chose to become a band director. The culture and systems in the Mercer Island band program are models that every district in the state that wants to do band at a high level strives to emulate. The multi-director system makes Mercer Island entirely unique, and the proof is in the quality of the product the students achieve, and how much fun they have getting there. The MI band program is transformational in so many students' lives because of the staffing.
