Mercer Island band program is more than just another extracurricular activity.

Mercer Island band program is more than just another extracurricular activity. My boys learned important life skills such as responsibility, respect, and having fun while working hard. They made some of their best friends through the band program. My husband and I got to meet amazing fellow band parents who are supportive and enthusiastic.

We are a multi-racial family and care about diversity. The make-up of the band student body reflects the increasingly diverse population in our school community. Having a child in the band is a two-for-one deal! Kids love the program and we parents get to enjoy being part of the band community just as much!
