Each year, we kick off the new band season with a community barbecue on the Thursday evening of band camp. All proceeds benefit the Mercer Island Schools Band Program. Don't miss the fun! Thursday, August 13th, 2026 5:30pm until dusk at the MIHS Amphitheater

About the Event
Calling all 5th through 12th grade band students and their families! Join us for an evening of festivities and fun at our annual All Island Band BBQ. As we get ready for the upcoming school year, come meet fellow musicians, their families, our amazing directors, and enjoy a fun night out.
What to expect:
Menu includes freshly grilled hamburgers, cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, along with green salad, watermelon, chips and lemonade with 100% of the proceeds benefiting our Band Program! Students and all friends and family members need to purchase a ticket if they plan to enjoy a meal.
Pick out your favorite band swag for the new year. And most importantly, spend time with other amazing band families. Don’t miss this celebration!
