Annual Band Food Drive

Our annual Band Food Drive is fast approaching and we are excited to have this opportunity to give back to our ever supportive community by collecting food for Northwest Harvest and Mercer Island Youth and Family Services.

 

Food Drive Dates:

Flyers - Friday, May 10th

Food Collection - Saturday, May 11th.

 

Students:

Time slots for all band members are linked below. Each student is assigned a time slot either on Friday afternoon or on Saturday. Those who have Friday time slots will be hanging flyers on doors, and those who have Saturday time slots will be picking up food from doorsteps. If you cannot make your assigned time find someone else in the same section as you to switch and notify Sophia Ristuben (sophiaristuben@gmail.com). In the email, please tell us who you switched with and what time slots the both of you are going to attend. If you are unable to attend any of the time slots, email Sophia and we will find another way for you to contribute. You are always welcome to volunteer for extra time slots if you wish.

Parents:

Because students are NOT allowed to drive, parent drivers are critical to the success of this event. It is so important that we have parent drivers available and would love and appreciate any parent that can drive for one of the following time slots:

  • Friday 5/10, 3:30 - 5:30pm

  • Friday 5/10, 5:30- 7:30pm

  • Saturday 5/11, 10:00am - 12:00pm

  • Saturday 5/11, 12:00 - 2:00pm

We need your parents as drivers, so please, please, please ask them to drive. This event is as successful as it is because of our parent volunteers. Please sign up sooner rather than later so we don’t have to do a last-minute scramble for drivers. If the slots for your child’s time slot or instrument are already filled, we encourage you to sign up for a different instrument group or time slot. Any parent who wishes to sign up for more than one time slot can absolutely do so.
